Energy- A ‘Poopie’ ass-pect

Cow dung can be used to produce a substitute for Fossil Fuels. For an example it is possible to turn 1000 cows ‘Bi-products’ into 2000 litres of fuel everyday.
The dung is sealed into silos and allowed to ferment. As it decomposes it gives of Methane gas, Which I extremely flammable. This fuel can be run in generators.
Running this system could make a large farm self-sufficient in their power.
But the high cost in the fermenters put many people off, when it is extremely simple to make your self or do the right research to find other suitable.
-Thermal Energy-
Taming the Flames Below

Some Countries are trying to tap the heat of the earth, which is call ‘Thermal energy’.
In most parts of the worlds every kilometre you go towards the core of the earth the temperature raises only 25o (45f). This means there going to have to dig very deep holes. On the other hand in some volcanic areas such as Iceland, New Zealand, some parts of Australia and America there are temperatures as high as 360o that exist close to the surface. How they ‘tame this fire’ is to Bore Down and build underground reservoirs.
With these reservoirs they pump water into them. Cold Water is pumped in one bore whole and hot water comes out the other bore. It is so hot that the water is vaporized into a high pressure steam which is directed out through a Turbine to produce electricity. When the steam passes through the turbine and is finished, it converts back into water.
In places like New-Zealand, California, the Philippines’, and Mexico Power Stations have been built were the earth heat reaches the surface naturally.

The Worlds Power Supply Part-1

Nearly all of the worlds energy come, either directly or in directly, from the sun.
Even the winds are largely driven by the suns heat. And the energy derived from coal and oil was originally collected by plants from sunlight millions of years ago.
The exceptions are Geo-thermal heat and Tidal-power which is governed by the moon.
The Suns total Energy output is equivalent to 3800 million Million Million Mega-watts. (And 1 Mega-Watt is 1 Million Watts)
But the earth intercepts Approx. 1/2,000,000,000th of this energy. About 1.9 Million Million Mega-Watts.
The funny thing is that the entire earths power could be sustained on only 1 percent of that which is about 190,000 Million Mega-watts...

COMPOSTING-Putting your plants on an Organic diet

When Plants grow they consume the nutrients in the soil. (With-out using Chemicals) One way of putting those nutrients back in is by using Compost.

Compost is what you get when yard and garden debris, kitchen scraps and other organic materials have completely broken down into a rich, dark, crumbly material.

It is commonly know as “black gold,” because it is so rich in nutrients and adds so much value you when add it to your soil.

This can easily be done in the back garden or any other suitable open space.

In the right conditions, bacteria and other microorganisms quickly break down organic material into rich, fertile earth that you can add to your soil to increase its fertility and health.

Breaking down waste requires the right amount of moisture, heat, soil aeration and a proper mix of materials.

It usually takes months for the materials to break down to become compost.
But this time can be drastically lowered by changing some of the steps of the development.

For example there are products that use re-circulatory air pumps that pump the hot air back underneath the compost bins. To make the temperature hotter, this in the long term means quicker cooking time. But on a household scale a simple tumbling bin will do.
Another way is to introduce ‘Worms’ into the equation. When they consume the ingredients they excreted a highly nutrient bi-product called ‘Mark’. This can be supplementary to the soil in your garden

After the organisms have done their thing, they generate finished compost, which has lots of minerals and micro-nutrients in an easily accessible form for plants.

Composting is cheap and easy to learn, but there is a little bit of an art to it that comes with practice, like knowing the right combinations of ingredients to make to best compost to suit your needs.

You’ll also find that adding Compost to your soil will make the vegetables and plants thrive because they are getting the right food.

And here’s the good news. We’re going to teach you how to do it on this site, which will reduce your learning curve significantly.

Paper Recycling is the process of recovering waste paper and remaking it into new paper products.
Industrialized paper making has an effect on the environment both upstream (where raw Trees are cut-down and processed) and downstream (Landfill impacts).

Today, 90% of paper pulp is made of wood.

Recycling of Newspapers saves about 1 ton of wood while recycling 1 ton of printing or copier paper saves slightly more than 2 tons of wood.

Energy consumption is reduced by recycling

Recycling 1 ton of newspaper eliminates 3 cubic meters of the landfill space.

Organic materials, including paper, decompose in landfills, But sometimes slowly, releasing Methane, Which contributes to the green-house gases

It is estimated that 95% of business information is still stored on paper.
Recycling 1  ton of paper saves 17 mature trees, 7 thousand US gallons (26 m3) of water, 3 cubic yards (2.3 m3) of landfill space, 2 barrels of oil (84 US gal or 320 l), and 4,100 kilowatt-hours (15 GJ) of electricity — Which is enough energy to power the average American home for six months

115 billion sheets of paper are used annually for personal computers
The average daily web user prints 28 pages daily

The US paper industry has set a goal to recover 55 percent of all the paper used in the US by 2012.

Our Business Recycled Approx. 50 tons Carboard and paper in 2009.. and sent it to be made into more paper
Im not saying you should, Just Saying Its Good To Recycle, To save trees, Energy and the Future
Welcome every body to this page. i know it doesnt look like much 'now',
but ill like to share what i know about Green-tech, Recycling, Composting and the Alternate Energy.
So Buckle up, Put your thinking caps on and maybe you will learn something..
in this blog ill like to touch basis on these subjects...
